I can crawl!

We are so proud of our little boy who decided to start crawling everywhere on Monday afternoon. It was a bit of a shock because he wasn't really showing signs of doing it soon. 11 months old and not lagging behind a bit!

A visit from Kayla

A day at the show

It was a tight fit but we managed to cram two mums and three kids into the car for the 1 hr 15 minute drive to the Chapman Valley Agricultural Show.
Elijah loved seeing the lambs and goats and getting down in the dirt

This shot taken just before Sammy put a tight squeeze on the python's neck.

There were puppies to cuddle

Kate was a very brave girl on her first pony ride.

It was a fun day. One of the best moments was when all three kids fell asleep for the last 40 minutes of the drive home and the mums got to sneak out a packet of fairy floss (cotton candy) and finish it all without the kids even knowing!

Sydney cousins

Elijah and I had such a wonderful time in Sydney recently. I attended the TWIST conference, which was about music in church, and Elijah was cared for lovingly and expertly by mum's cousin Pattie.
Here's Elijah with Pattie's beautiful grandkids Annika, Georgia and India
Here's the girls having fun with their dad, Tim.

Elijah was a little bit nervous on the slide

Annika, however, was fearless

Riding the crazy horse with India

Thanks to Pattie, Dave, Tim, Nikki and kids for such a great weekend!

On the way home

Last photo at the Chicago airport with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Allison and Uncle Levi

Elijah only just fit into the AA bassinet

He had a great sleep on the floor at Tokyo airport

Fun with sparklers

These pictures were taken down at Aunt Faye and Uncle Steve's after a yummy cook-out on a balmy Illinois Summer evening.

Gorgeous shots

A real big belly laugh

My hat from Chile

I love this sequence of photos. Elijah is wearing a hat he received from Uncle Mark and Aunt Mary after a recent trip to Chile.

words and pictures, pictures and words. snapshots of life as Tyler, Penny, Elijah, Devery and Geordie Swartzentruber know it.
