A day at the show

It was a tight fit but we managed to cram two mums and three kids into the car for the 1 hr 15 minute drive to the Chapman Valley Agricultural Show.
Elijah loved seeing the lambs and goats and getting down in the dirt

This shot taken just before Sammy put a tight squeeze on the python's neck.

There were puppies to cuddle

Kate was a very brave girl on her first pony ride.

It was a fun day. One of the best moments was when all three kids fell asleep for the last 40 minutes of the drive home and the mums got to sneak out a packet of fairy floss (cotton candy) and finish it all without the kids even knowing!

Looks like a fun day! I'd certainly stay away from the snake!!! I have never heard cotton candy called fairy floss~what an appropriate name.
Miss you!

yes...fairy floss How appropriate!! I can't wait to tell my class of third graders what cotton candy is called in Australia!!! Elijah always looks so engaged in whatever is around him :-) He must be such a delight to have around. I actually hope he wasn't TOO friendly with that snake. I wonder...what kind of pet will Elijah ask for some day? Aunt Mary Jo
